About to partake of my first nap of a everyman 3 polyphasic sleep cycle. Yay for sleep deprivation for the greater good (really the greater amount of time in a day)? I guess I can always use this as an excuse to actually use my tumblr and talk about what I go through?
Well then i shall have to give all the details - a polyphasic sleep cycle is where you sleep in shorter “naps” throughout the day, rather than one big chunk. Everyman 3 is method where you have a core sleep of 3 hours and 3 20-30 minute naps spread throughout the day. (There is another variation - a core sleep of 1.5 hours and 4-5 naps.)
I plan on sleeping from 3-6 am and napping around 12, 5 and 10 pm. Luckily, the Everyman 3 has some leeway in delaying or even skipping a nap, unlike the Uberman (6 20-30 min naps every 4 hours) and I think I should be able to keep this up in Japan - a big reason I want to add more time to my day. Those sights aren’t gunna see themselves!
